Check-SecureBoot.ps1 – Script Updated

Update!

In my recent post, https://deploymentbunny.com/2026/04/07/secure-boot-2026-essential-updates-and-fixes/, I referenced the CheckSecureBoot script used to validate Secure Boot configuration during deployment. The purpose of the script is to be able to check the satus of the upcoming changes for the Secure Boot Certificate issue that will happen in the summer of 2026.

I just want to give a quick heads‑up that the script has now been updated.

The update improves detection logic and includes some refinements based on recent testing and community feedback. If you’re using this script in your deployment workflows, I strongly recommend grabbing the latest version.

As always, feedback is welcome

Until next time

  1. I’d just like to point out that you have readers all over the world. For some of us, these changes are happening in Winter of 2026.

    • The first certs will expire in june and some will expire a bit later, it has nothing to do where you are located in the world as far as I understand, it is related to the install date of your computer, but I am very happy to know that I have followers around the globe!
      Thank you!🙏
